The Valentine’s Day gave us yet another great opportunity for handmade creations, so here’s a St. Valentine’s Day card we made for daddy.
Lily wanted to give something to daddy and she wanted to make it with her own tiny hands. I took it literally and so here’s a card you can make even with a very small child who cannot use scissors. He or she can glue, fold and kiss. So have some creative fun!
Supplies for a handmade Valentine’s Day card:
- color papers
- scissors
- pencil
- glue
- lipstick
Fold the paper in half and trace the child’s hand on the fold.
Cut out the hand and if you did it correctly you should have two connected hands.
Now be creative and decorate the inside of your card. We glued some colored hearts on one side…
…and Lily kissed the other side asking me if she could wear the lipstick the next day to school.
Then she wrote a word of love and signed, of course.
Daddy was touched and Lily got so much into it that she made cards for the rest of the family as well.
